Feb. 15 – April 15 Early Spring Service
This liquid application will contain slow and quick release fertilizer, Pre-emergent for grassy weed control, and broadleaf weed control products.

April 15 – May 31 Late Spring Service
This liquid application will contain fertilizer and broadleaf weed control. Particular emphasis is paid to weed control at this time of year.

June 1 – July 15 Early Summer Service
This application contains a slow release granular fertilizer and spot spraying for weeds. We are looking for potential disease and insect outbreaks at this time.

June 1 – July 15 Family Friendly Grub Control
This granular treatment is usually done at the same time as the Early Summer Service. Merit grub control from Bayer is an effective season long grub control product that has 0 mammalian toxicity. This product won’t harm kids or pets in the lawn.

July 15 – Aug. 31 Late Summer Service
This service is focused on weed control. Light rates of granular fertilizer may be applied to actively growing lawns and all lawns are spot treated for weeds including crabgrass, foxtail, nutsedge and other broadleaf weeds. This is also the time of year that we re-evaluate every property and make seeding recommendations for the coming fall.

Sept. 1 – October 15 Fall Service
This application will help the lawn recover from the stressful summer. It contains fertilizer and broadleaf weed control. In lawns that are being seeded a starter fertilizer will substitute the standard fertilizer.

Oct. 15- Nov. 30 Winterizer Service
This is the heaviest of all fertilizer applications that will help the lawn go into dormancy with a large storage of carbohydrates that the turf will need to come out of dormancy strong next spring. This will also encourage lateral growth and thickening of the lawn until the ground freezes. We will also spot spray for broadleaf winter annuals at this time.

Last week of August (until the ground freezes) Aeration
This mechanical process helps relive compaction, control thatch build up, and improve water, air and nutrient movement to the root zone. This process encourages deeper rooting and lateral spread of turf plants.
